I rode my bicycle to work today for the first time since December 1st. I really wish Minneapolis/Edina/Eden Prairie would do a better job of plowing to the curb.

So far as I've seen, that's true pretty much everywhere.

My car's front right wheel got stuck in a rut last night; I had to call AAA to get it out. Just because they can't plow fully and get rid of the accumulated slush and ice. Ridiculous.

I'm sorry you had to call AAA :( but I'm glad you got out. Sorry I wasn't available to help.

I biked to work today for the first time since that big snow storm. It was snow covered the whole way. Lots of slush etc - but passable. I only had to put a foot down 3 or 4 times.

Tho 18 degrees (feels like 10) is about as cold as my current clothes can handle. My legs were quiet cold by the time I got in, then red + prickly warming up. Coming home 10 degrees warmer was fine.

It felt so good to be out again. YAY!

How far do you go? Did you use sidewalks/trails or roads? I switched back and forth but avoided the drier main roads... they sure looked inviting (except those pesky cars).

Nine and a half miles. I took streets the whole way. As long as the speed limit is low or there's a wide shoulder I'm usually pretty comfortable taking the street versus the sidewalk. There are stretches of my route where I'd usually take the sidewalk/trail because they're busy, but the sidewalks are still pretty icy so I opted to take the street there instead this time.
