In case you don't have enough to do this summer
The Summer music and movies schedules (turn off Javascript before loading if you'd prefer the web site over the Flash app) for the Minneapolis Parks are up. Highlights at the Lake Harriet Bandshell include the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra and the Gilbert and Sullivan Very Light Opera Company on July 14th and 15th performing H.M.S. Pinafore, Machinery Hill on July 17th, and The Auto Body Experience on July 30th.

Also the Shakespeare in the park schedule is up for the Cromulent Shakespeare Company. They'll be performing The Merry Wives of Windsor this year with a performance at the Lyndale Park Rose Garden on June 17th.

Thanks for posting this. I 1) would probably not have heard about it if you hadn't posted and 2) was not able to make the schedule work, so I would probably have never found the G&S.

I have put it on my calendar for 7/15 at sometime and place. :)

It's at the Lake Harriet Bandshell which is on the north end of Lake Harriet. Click the "14th" and "15th" links in the post to go to the specific event pages from the Minneapolis Pops Orchestra web site and it will list the times.
